So this is were we drove today, actually we are at Lincoln Illinois, located about
25miles from Springfield, as all hotels were full in the capital.
It looked as we were approaching the middle of God's country!
A cozy local family owned restaurant welcomed us with delicious Margaritas and dinner, exactly what
we needed to cheer up after listening to the weather warnings for the upcoming severe storm
and tornado warnings. the hot wind blasting in our faces at least 97F could confirm this unusual
environment.
They are talking about the infamous derecho winds which are pretty serious !
We are hunkered down at our Hotel, an interesting experience as we had to think hard what we bring to our room "Just in case". The storm is going all the way to E.Coast, hopefully it will not be as bad as they describe.
At 70 miles an hour this tractor trailer with a driver with a great cense of humor went buy!
An unexpected Mexican experience in the middle of the bread basket of our country.
