15 July 2013

This morning we are off to Minnesota to spend some time with our daughter and her husband and visit the beautiful twin cities of Minneapolis St Paul and have some days without driving long distances.

The traffic was light until we got close to Minneapolis, our destination was on the outskirts of the city.

We arrived in E.Bethel, around 3.00PM, needless to say what a pleasure it was to see Larissa again who was home, catching up after not having seen each other for far too long.

Without fail  we visited the very handsome chickens and roosters that Larissa and Lou raise, some of our favorites:
This is Kobe a beautiful proud rooster

This is Dora, she is extremely sociable and is the only one who comes up to the deck and sits by the door expecting a hand out.

The new Roosters are,  Cuckoo Maran who is French!

Araucana from Chile.
And these are the girls...

Lou came and being the chef, he cooked for us an amazing BBQ with mouthwatering rubs, of elk tenderloin and....chicken, by the way the chickens that are sold and or cooked have no names.
(The ones I have introduced to you above are here to stay, they will not get close to the kitchen)!
