We went to the Grandville Island Market, what fun, marvelous foods, flowers, fruits, spices.
So much energy, so many happy faces marveling in awe of the beautiful displays.
It was warm 75F, we walked around and visited galleries, stores and after picking up some
lunch we sat on this dock and watched the traffic between, water taxis, kayakers and boats
figure out how to co exist.
We went to visit the Dr. Sun-Yat-Sen" Classical Chinese Garden.
As it is called "Refreshment for the Heart"
"Amidst the noise and frantic pace of the city rests a place like no other, it is as new as the morning's
sunrise an as old as civilization".
This Classical garden reflects the Daoist philosophy of the Yin and Yang.
Light balanced by dark, rugged and hard are balanced by soft and flowing and small by large.
A place we loved the minute we stepped into it.
We left to walk through"Gastown"were an old time neighborhood has been brought back to life and is booming with new boutiques, restaurants and life.
Ron ended up falling in love with a pair of...Cowboy boots! He cannot wait to wear them and
break them in!
We also went up to the top floor of the " Harbour Center" where the floor is circular and it revolvos, the vistas take your breath away, having one drink, is all you need while
the world is turning at 360 degrees an hour.
A total view of the city as well as cities as far as the eye can see, the Grouse, North Shore and Mt. Seymour mountains. We could also see the beautiful bay waters along with the Olympic installations.
Wright across from these mega buildings covered in glass were these adorable boat houses!

Lois and I experienced your same feeling about turning to the east when we were on our extended trip. However, that just means there will be more wonderful sights and people to meet.
