16 July 2013, Minneapolis

Even though it was going to be one very hot day with enough humidity to make it almost as bad
as in...Blue Bell, we decided to go to the city and enjoy the plentiful  choices of places to visit.

The city is a marriage of ultra modern and old structures, the most captivating is Frank Gehry's Weisman Art Museum. Once more a shot from the car window coming over the Mississippi River.

Since the weather was perfect for a Museum visit we ended up at the Walker Art Museum, http://www.walkerart.org. A wonderful building that housed 5 different contemporary exhibits that were very interesting and evocative, geopolitically themed exhibits as well as a unique contemporary collection of  artists from all of the US and Europe.

Here is Larissa with Dad.

And the two of us.

Outside the museum there is a great sculpture garden, this happens to be the one pice of sculpture that has been the favorite. Water actually comes down from the stem over the cherry and the rest of the structure.

We met Lou after his work and had a scrumptious dinner in St.Paul at a French Bistro, I have a feeling Ron's and Lou's mussels were the most delicious he has ever had! Our fish was wonderful as well, the "pommes frites" were absolutely superb!
