We left Hillside in the morning, it was cool and dark, we drove towards Chicago and as the time passed we realized that we are indeed back to reality.
The entire time we were driving in the rain , the traffic was horrendous as we were approaching the city on a Friday morning.
We arrived on 27 July in beautiful Lakeside, a small town by Lake Michigan. It is a lovely place were a lot of the homes are built by the lake with a beautiful seashore and beaches that go on for miles.
The homes are surrounded by tall trees and abundant gardens.
All the towns along the shore line are lovely and picturesque.
We stayed with friends at their wonderful home near the beach, what a pleasure, their home is nestled in a beautiful garden and we walked to the beach everyday, it was hard to believe that this is not the sea, it is immense, the wind was blowing and the waves were sparkling under the bright sun.
