Off to more of the beautiful Oregon Coast this beautiful morning, thankfully the fog was far into the ocean as the wind has been very strong.

The vistas continue to be spectacular.

We stopped by lovely Cannon Beach, it is a lovely town by the beach and one a lot of people visit, very lovely galleries, restaurants, sweet houses filled with the most beautiful gardens, the size of the hydrangeas was incredible, fuscias were growing every where even in the wild.

Very unique architecture at the sea shore, this is one of the older structures.

I thought I would include this picture for the upcoming “Independence day”.

Around 1.00PM we started on our way to the city of Portland, a little sad to say that
we both realized this is the beginning of our return East.

Arriving into Portland was a bit crazy, as the 4th. of July traffic had started, bumper to bumper into the city, we took the first exit and went into the city enjoyed the so many wonderful parks it truly is a very green city, went to the gallery district enjoyed a nice
break and iced coffee.

We crossed the great Columbia River, very impressive river, filled with life and vistas,

The beautiful and majestic peak of Mount Hood appeared, what an amazing site, covered in snow, while at this point  we were on land at 91F.

The picture is faded as I used the telephoto lens during 60miles an hour!

We entered the State of Washington leaving behind a marvelous places we will return to
one day for an overnight  in Tacoma

  1. Loving all of your trip so far. Feel as though we are with you. All the wonderful memories we have are coming alive within us as we travel along with you. Hope you had the time to visit Muir Woods. The Redwoods kiss the sun and give one a feeling of being in God's presence. Lot's of love,Marion @ Don
